MID-CANTERBURY SNOWFALL. Per Press Association. ASHBURTON, July 17. Heavy snow fell on the higher love’s of the Ashburton County yesterday afternoon, with 54 inches at Methvrn and six at Mount Somers, but tlmre was only a light fall in the borougn. A frost of 214 degrees was experienced at Methven this morning, the
day being fine.
