ORDERS FOR ARMY.

(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, June 10. The magnitude of the demands liiado on sections of industry not connected with armament production by the enlargement of the armed force is demonstrated in an order which the Government lias placed with boot manufacturers for 1.000,000 pairs of boots, intended for the militia and the increased number of Territorials, as well as in orders for nearly 3000 miles of khaki, which is now being woven ill Yorkshire mills for uniforms. Tho total cost of the khaki will not ho less than £4,000,000. This last order is not the only one for service purposes from which textile industries are benefiting. Other recent orders include 2,000.000 yards of cotton material for the R.A.F. and 15,000.000 yards of heavy duck lor the Army.
