Sherwood) for positions in the three 10c..l learns to meet on the afternoon of the A'oung Farmers’ Day at the AA'inter Show .if the Alauawatu and West Coast A. and I’. Association on Thursday. In tha ease of the major game, which will he played between representatives of the Alauawatu and AY a iroa federations, twenty local players have been chosen. The litial selection will ho made later. Difficulty has been experienced, owing to the wide area to be covered, and the fact that players in some cases play for three or lour different sub-unions. Of the number chosen to compete for places in the Alauawatu side, seven are Orona representatives and five Alanawatii. The pack will average a little over 13st and the average height will be about tilt.
