BANKING FUNDS. ALLEGATIONS DENIED. Deceived June 9. 10.10 a.in. LONDON. June S. New Zealand banking circles in I.ondon deny reports from New Zealand that they are not supplying funds for the purchase of' overseas goods, and repudiate the implied suggestion o! bringing improper pressure on the Government. Funds may have been withheld iii special eases pending an investigation, but there is no general hold-up.
A Press Association message from New Plymouth yesterday stated that the banks were not issuing credit for second period goods despite the ample licences held by the importers.
