MATCHES AT PARK ROAD. Matches in continuation of tlio Manawatu Rugby Union's inter-club competitions which would normally be played at the Showgrounds will be staged at Rugby Park to-morrow on account of the oval being required for Winter Show purposes. At a meeting of the executive of the TTnrowhenua Rugby Union, over which Mr J. Gillespie presided, permission was granted the Horowhentia referees to play the Manawatu referees, at Levin, on August. 1? The president, spoke very highly of the standard of Rugby in the Maori-Pakeha match, and Mr ,T. Bateman expressed appreciation of the referee's management.
