KOPANE INSTITUTE.
There was a good attendance. at the May meeting of the Kopane AA omen’s Institute, which, was held at Airs Prentice’s home. Airs Hendle presided and welcomed two now •members. Airs Cowdrey and Aliss Croad. Apologies for absence were received from Airs Meager and Afiss Boddy. An invitation was received from the Rongotea Institute to its birthday evening. It was decided not to enter a shop window at tho forthcoming Show. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Afrs AY. Jacob tor a demonstration on tho making of shouldei sprays and buttonholes, members following it with keen interest. The following are the results of the competitions :—Pikelets : Seniors, Afrs Boddy 1, Mrs Glasgow 2, All's f/Carinonth 3; juniors, Aliss L. Russell 1, Aliss F. Dawbin 2. Bloom: Seniors, Afrs Prentice 1, Airs Boddy 2, ATrs Russell 3: juniors, Miss L. Russell 1, Aliss F. Dawbin 2. Afiss H. Alartin 3. The June meeting is to be held at Afrs AY bite’s home, and the competition is for the best worked tea towel.
