LATE MISS M. DUNCAN.
TRIBUTES FROM PRESBYTERY. Regret at the death of Miss At. Duncan, of Foxton, was expressed at a meeting of the Presbytery of Wanganui, held at Marton, this week. Miss Duncan was the last surviving member of the family of the late Rev. James Duncan, who was the first Presbyterian minister to minister to both pakeha and Maori congregations in the Rangitikei. Mr P. M. Murray spoke of Miss Duncan's long life of service and of her faith and patience in suffering and weakness during her latter years. The presbytery expressed its thankfulness to God for the great contribution made by Miss Duncan and her family to the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
