FRENCH COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF. WELL-INFOR DIED OPINION. (Independent Cable Service.) Received June 8. 9 a.m. LONDON. June 7. DVell-informed circles in London and Paris believe that Marshal Gamclin’s appointment- is a prelude to his appointment as Commander-In-Chief ot the Allied armies on the Western Front in the event of a war. British military experts are convinced that Marshal Gnmelin is the most suited to take charge on the Continent.
