PRE-WEDDING PARTIES.
Prior to their wedding recently, Afr Raymond AA'right and Aliss Annetta Trollope were the guests of honour at a party, at the Business Girls’ Club room. The hostesses were Airs Claud Edmonds, Aliss Aleryie AA’right and Miss Daphne Purdom (sister and cousin of Air AA’right), who received guests numbering between 60 and 70. Dancing and games were enjoyed. Air Claud Henderson also gave several tap dances. After supper the guests of honour were asked to open a large assortment of parcels brought by their friends. Air AVright returned thanks on behalf of himself and his bride. Before severing her connection with the firm of AV. Pegden, Aliss Trollope was asked to accept a wall mirror and a fireside chair by the management and a brass log box from the staff, with good wishes for her future happiness. Air AA’right was presented with a silver tea service hv his fellow emplovccs and a weather glass suitably inscribed from the committee of the Otago Club, of which he lias been secretary for several years.
