IRISHMEN SENTENCED. LONDON, May 19. Refusing ns soldiers of the Irish Republic to plead, John Leo Duigan, aged 2fi, who declared himself not interested in the proceedings, and Peter Campbell, aged 24, who accused the Judge and jury of bias, were sentenced to 10 years’ penal servitude for unlawfully possessing explosives. The men shouted, “Up the Republic” when sentenced.
