SYDNEY WOOL SALES.
BEST sorts steady. SYDNEY, April 17. The Sydney wool sales were resumed today. A total of 10.014 bales were offered, 83io being sold at auction and 1748 privately. Compared with tho closing sales prior to the Easter recess, best, wools ruled at about par, while average to inferior sorts were 5 per cent, lower. Carbonising wools were unchanged.
There was good competition, mainly from Yorkshire, tho Continent and Japan.
