PACIFIC PROBLEMS.
WELLINGTON. April 18
The conference on Pacific defence and related problems between renresentntives of the British, Australian and New Zealand Governments was continued in Wellington yesterday. The following official statement was issued : “Tho conference reassembled at 10 a.m. and continued discussions on its agenda. Having decided to refer various problems to a number of committees, the conference adjourned at 12.45 p.m., till the reports of tho committees are available.” An official luncheon in honour of the delegates to the conference will he given by the Government to-day. Tho Prime Minister will preside.
The personnel of the conference was completed yesterday by the arrival of Captain E. C. Johnston from Sydney. Captain Johnston is Control-ler-General of Civil Aviation in Australia, and was present at another conference held in New Zealand in 1236.
