BOWLING.
CLOSING DAY TOURNAMTNT. Officially, the howling season as far as the Feilding Club is concerned, ended on Saturday afternoon, when members of the Oroua Club were Tedding s guests at a friendly tournament. Hayward’s rink comprising also Watt. Nesbit and Davidson won the competition with an aggregate of 32 points; second honours went .to Telford’s Oroua rink comprising also Barlow, Alsop and Buckman. Air A. Williamson (president of the Feilding Club) congratulated the successful rinks and thanked members of the visiting club lor participating in the closing day. Air Williamson said that his club had enjoyed a good season and had been visitoil by- manv clubs during the summer months. Although the green was officially closed, members would be able to continue play until rain came and the surface was prepared for topdressing. Mr Hausmann (president, of the Oroua Club! extended an invitation to the Feilding players to attend Oroua’s closing day function.
