PLAY AT HOKOWHITU. GALLOWAY’S GOOD ROUND. There was a hip; entry for the fourball Stableford bogey handicap which was played at the Hokowhitu golf course over the. week-end under ideal conditions. Some very fine cards were returned, the best being that of S. A. Goldingliain and K. Beehan, with 45. The leading scores were: S. A. Goldingham and K. Beehan. 45; G. M. Me(,’askill and AY. S. Particularly good form was displayed by the club’s professional, J. R. Galloway, during the week-end. He required a par four at the home hole for a 69. but lie had to play his second with the snn in his eyes, and it landed in the trap, the mistake costing him a stroke. He did the round in 70.
