Doctrine of Atonement was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday. '1 lie Golden lext was Romans 5: 11, “We also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.’’ Among the citations which comprised the les son-sermon were the following from the Bible: “Who hath believed our report, and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?’’ (Isa.) Also the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,” by Mary Baker Eddy: “We acknowledge Jo-us's Atonement, as the evidence of Divine, efficacious love, unfolding man’s unity with God through Christ Jesus the Wayshower; and we acknowledge that man is saved through Christ, through truth, life, and love as demonstrated by the Galilean Prophet in healing the sick and overcoming sin and death. He to whom “the arm oi the Lord’’ is revealed will believe our report, and rise into newness of life with regeneration. This is having part in the Atonement : this is the understanding in which Jesus suffered and triumphed.” (pp 497, 24.)
