Mrs A. Neill is a Palmerston North visitor to Auckland.
Miss J/orna King, who has keen visiting her parents, All' and Mrs H. J. King, of Albert Street, lias returned to Auckland.
Mr and Mrs T. F. Polling, of Fitzlierbert Avenue, have returned to Palmerston North after spending a holiday at their residence at Queen Charlotte Sound.
Mrs It. Semple, wife of the Minister of Public Works, accompanied her husband to the official opening ceremony of the Whirikino trestle britlge on Saturday. Also with the party was Mrs Hunter, wife of Hon. G. It. Hunter, M.L.C.
Vice-Admiral F. A. Sommervillc and Mrs Sommerville. of England, have been staying with Professor Cl. S. Pcren and Mrs Percn, of Massey College. Mrs Peren aecompanied her guests when they returned to Wellington.
Tt is hoped that Dame Fnid Lyons, widow of the Federal Prime Minister, will attend the Pan-Pacific Women’s Association Conference in Wellington, in January, 1940. She is described as a handsome woman, young in appearance, and with a beautiful complexion. She is a fluent speaker, with an admirable command of words.
