Afiss Audrey H. E. Fulton, of AA'oodville, is spending a holiday with relatives in New Plymouth. Euchre tournaments during tile past week resulted as follows: Foresters. Airs D. Kenyon 1, Airs AA’oodward 2, D. Kemp 3. In a previous tournament the winners were Air and Airs Garner and Airs Hayes. R.S.A. tourney: J. I*. Goodwin and Airs Dunstnll tied with 91 games each. Miss Barkwitli and Air McCullough tied for third prize. The funeral of Air R. C. Tennent took place on Saturday afternon, the cortege being a large and representative one. There were numerous beautiful floral tributes forwarded from various parts of the Dominion. The pallbearers were Dr P. H. Mules, and Alessrs H Tennent (Takapan), J. Tonnet (Hnwera). B. Tennent (Palmerston North), AA r . Olphert (Lower Hutt) and T>r A. Tennent (Wellington). Rev. P. B. Williams (Holy Trinity Church) officiated.

ATr H. E. Russell this morning said farewell to a number of his friends in town in view of his departure tomorrow for Sydnev. He is taking the horses Bronze Flight and Pern with him. Air Russell intends to reside in Sydney for a time at least before permanently settling down. Bowling Clu,h members intended to tender Air Russell a send-off. hut the advancing of theVlate of his departure precluded the gathering taking place.
