REBEL LEADER SHOT.
PALESTINE TROUBLE. JERUSALEM, March 28. Abdul Rahim Maj Jbrahius (leader of the Arab rebels in Palestine), was shot dead to-day while trying to break a cordon surrounding a village near Nablus. Abdul Rahim had been in Beirut with the Grand Mufti and had only recently returned to Palestine. To-day members of the R.A.F. cooperated with troops in an operation which resulted in the wounding and capture of another important Arab leader, Suleiman Abukhleifa. Two Jews were killed and two wounded by terrorists yesterday. A Jew was sentenced to death at Tiberias for the murder of a Jew and the attempted murder of two others.
