METHODIST CHURCH.
The Feilding Methodist Church anniversary tea and united gathering for inspiration and entertainment was held on Monday night. There was a good attendance and Rev. J. H. Allen presided. Items were rendered by Miss Britton, Wellington (solos). Mr and Mrs Farmer and Miss M. Garrett (instrumental trio), Mr A. Sharp (solos), Mr Henson (flute solo), Mrs A. L. Dixon (elocutionary items). Mr T. S. Goldsmith submitted a statement showing that donations and collections for the Sunday School fund amounted to approximately £350. Rev. A. Mcßean (president of the conference) addressed the gathering, bis remarks constituting a story of his life. At the conclusion of his remarks he congratulated Mr A. 11. Shelton on having resumed the conductorsbip of the choir, which had delighted the gathering with two items.
