CITY’S FALL HAILED.
ITALIAN FERVOUR. Received March 29, 1.20 p.m. ROME, March 28. Signor Mussolini, responding to the cheering of thousands outside the Palazzo Venezia who hailed the fall of Madrid, said on the first of nine appearances on the balcony: “Italian Legionaries have entered Madrid and as a result the Spanish War lias ended with the defeat of Bolshevism. All the enemies of Italian Fascism will meet a similar fate.” Crowds gathered at the Piazza 1 enezia after the news of the fall of Madrid. shouting: “Long love Nationalist Spain.” Signor Mussolini a pixie red on the balcony and acknowledged the demonstration . It is reliably stated that Signor Mussolini will leave to-morrow on a two-day visit to Calabria, where he is making a series of speeches. It is expected that he will reiterate his claims against France.
