DEATH BY DROWNING.
Per Press Association. DANNEVIRKE, Alareh 28
A verdict of death by drowning was returned at the inquest on Albert George Talbut, aged 61, of Pctouc, who was found dead in a water trough on a To Rchunga farm. No evidence was available to show how deceased got into the trough, which was 31 inches wide and 16 inches deep. It looked as if deceased, after sitting on the edge of the trough, had fallen back and gradually slipped down until his head and portion of his back were in the trough. A doctor said it was possible that deceased fell and struck Ills head, being rendered unconscious.
