SUMMERS BEATS McKAY. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 27. The Auckland Boxing Association commenced its 1939 season to-night, when two professional matches were, staged in addition to three amateur contests. The first professional bout was a welterweight between Don Johnson and Vic Caltanx, both of Auckland, and it was won by Johnson on points at the end of ten three-minute rounds. In tho second professional match Harry Summers, the Australian lightweight, made his first appearance in New Zealamd and he created a very favourable impression by decisively beating Brian McKay, of Auckland.
