PRE-HOLIDAY PARTY.
A very happy evening was spent at the home of Mrs W. J. Honorc, Fitzroy Street, Terrace End, recently, when a little party of her friends paid her a surprise visit in order to wish her, and Mr Honore and their daughter Frances “bon voyage” and a splendid holiday in Sydney. Contract bridge was played and during supper Mrs Honore was asked to accept a small goodwill gift and a bouquet of asters from the gathering. Mrs John Young and Airs J. W. Hodgson were the prize-winners. Those present were: Alcsdames T. Rose, J. A. Edwards, L. A. Ferguson, John Young, A. J. Jackson, Gate, A. K. Simpson, J. AY. Hodgson, J. Davidson, S. Thompson and D. J. Lovelock. Speeches and the singing of “Auld Lang Syne” brought a most pleasant evening to a close.
