RUMANIA’S DESIRE
TO STRENGTHEN PEACE. AGREEMENT WITH GERMANY. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received March 24, 1.15 p.m. BUCHAREST, March 23. A Government statement says that by signing the Rumanian-German Treaty, Rumania furnished a new proof of her desire to strengthen peace, which increasingly depends on the solution of economic problems and taking into account the needs of the great and small nations.
The Foreign Minister (M. Gafencu) states that Rumania is prepared to examine the possibility of concluding similar agreements with other countries.
The German Minister informed NI. Gafencu that Germany would execute all Rumanian orders already placed in Czechoslovakia.
Additional details of the agreement state that it provides for the co-opera-tion of Rumanian and German banks. Germany will supply machinery and equipment for mining, also arms and equipment lor the Rumanian forces. She will also co-operate with the Rumanian armament industry.
