ANGLO-INDIAN TRADE.
BENEFITS OF AGREEMENT. LONDON, March 21. A trade agreement between Britain and India lias been concluded. It will operate for three years and will Ikuicfit the Lancashire cotton industry. India lowers the duties on British cotton goods in the first year from 20 to 1.5 per cent. Duties in subsequent years will depend on the volume of exports. Ottawa preferences have been generally continued.
