March 4s 25-3 d, May 4s 4d, July 4e 5 5 Ad. Chicago futures. —May 63 l-o cents a bushel, July 63 L 3 cents, September 63 1-8 cents. Queensland cattle-breeders, who provide seven-eighths of Australia's exports of frozen and chilled href, aro most, concerned by the import restriction on mutton and lamb from the Dominions by the new Briiish Minister for Agriculture, without consulting the Australian anil New Zealand Meat Boards. Mr Norman Bourko, president. of the United Graziers’ Association and Queensland’s member of the Australian Meat Board, says that ihe hoard will object strongly to any restriction as a matter of principle. Other critics refer satirically to the promise made to the Dominions, at the time of the revision of the Ottawa Agreements, for a “rising share” in United Kingdom imports.
