PICNIC AT FOXTON.
SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS. About 70 members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, drawn from Palmerston North and Longburn, were present at a picnic held at the Foxton beach on Sunday. The organiser, Mrs A. J. Furness, assisted by Miss Myra Johansen (secretary) and Messrs Alan and Jack Archer, were responsible for the arrangements, and a pleasant day’s outing was the result. Sports were practically abandoned in favour of surfing, the beautiful day making conditions ideal for young and old Afterwards games were played, and pleasant community meals, with the distribution of ice-creams, etc., all added to the enjoyment of the outing.
