TILE FIRE BRIGADE.
The election of officers took place at a meeting of tlie Fire Brigade on Alonday evening, each being re-elected as follow: —Superintendent, Mr H. N. McNeil; deputy-superintendent, Air H. H. Sparkman ; senior foreman, Air E. E. Beale; junior foreman, Air EJ. Stitt ; secretary, Fireman P. E. Anslow; caretaker. Fireman AA . G. Butler. A T arious officials were appointed for the forthcoming demonstrations in AVoodville, in which the Pahiatua and Eketnhuna brigades will also take part, suitable arrangements being made for the entertainment of the visitors. The local teams which are to compete in the demonstration are practising regularly, and are expected to give a good account of themselves.
