In connection with the erection of State houses, the question of the installation of gas has arisen, no provision apparently having been made for tlie same locally. The Dannevirke Borough Council has dealt with the same subject as pertaining to the State houses in that town, and it has decided that the installation be carried out free of charge, as it is understood that the Dannevirke Power Board is making the same concession.
