DEATH SENTENCES.
Received March 22, 8.5 a.m. SYDNEY, March 21. Harold Percy Smith, aged 33, and Matilda Ann Edwards, aged 31. were sentenced to death in the Criminal Court to-day on a charge of murdering William Henry Edwards. It was alleged that Smith lwught poison and gave it to Mrs Edwards, who ga.ve it to her husband in the form of a drink. The jury added a strong recommendation to mercy.
