THE POWER BOARD.
At the recent meeting of the I ararua Power Board the secretary-man-ager, Mr F. W. Taylor, reported:—A deputation from the Dannevirke Electric Power Board, consisting of Air Al. O. Grainger, chairman, Atessrs Pickard and Devlin, secretary and engineer respectively, interviewed your chairman and officers at Pahiatua on March 3. An agreeable conference served to clear away certain doubts and probable mistrusts. The deputation, it is thought, left to report to their hoard that we have a better opportunity ol serving the Weber county than they have at present. The secretary further reported that the demand from settlers on the route from Coonoor to Pongnroa. including the township, had been substantial.
