SERIOUS INJURIES.
FORMER POLITICAL CANDIDATE

Hurled round a pulley when his hand was caught in the belting, Ernest Piggot.t, aged 58. a sawmiller, of Buckland, had his right arm torn off when adjusting the machinery on Saturday. Mr Piggott was the unsuccessful Labour candidate for the Franklin scat at the last election. His condition to-day is serious.
