DROUGHT PARTLY BROKEN.
RAIN IN VICTORIA. MELBOURNE, Feb. 17.. The protracted drought in Victoria lias been partly broken with good oyernight rains which have now spread into New South Wales, replenishing the Burrinjuck dam, which supplies the rice crops. There has been grave anxiety lately as to whether the rice crops can be saved because of the possibility of the water from the Burrinjuck dam having to be rationed.
