D. B. Hanna, acred 79, first president of the Canadian National Railways and termed the “last of the old Canadian railway builders,” died recently. The previous day his close friend, Sir John Aird, former president of the Canadian Bank of Commerce, died at the age of 84, after 60 years ill banking.
