A\ T hat makes a kookaburra laugh? If Hollywood film directors knew the answer to this question, according to a message from the centre of the film industry, the filming of “Captain 'Fury” would not have been held up for three days while four kookaburras, rented for 200 dollars a day, “perched unrelentingly on the limbs of an artificial tree and sneered at all attempts to amuse them. Given a mouse, a kookaburra will express his amusement in no uncertain manner. This, is the laughter recipe prescribed by the curator of the AVellington Zoo.
