DISPUTE IN RANGOON.
STUDENTS’ DETERMINATION
(Independent Cable Service.) Received February IS, 8.5 a.m. RANGOON, Feb. 17. No successor has yet been found for Dr Baw Maw (Premier) who resigned after the Government’s defeat yesterdav.
The students now declare that they will oppose all Governments until the Constitution is wrecked. Buses and trams are being pelted with stones and bottles and all transport services are at a standstill.
The House of Representatives passed a vote of no-confidence in the Government by 70 votes to 37. Protesting against tho new coalition Government, demonstrators burnt effigies of the Prime Minister amid the beating of tin pans and kettles. Black flags were flown from buildings and motorcars in the city were placarded, “Down with tho Coalition.”
