SYDNEY, Feb. 16. Business on the Sydney Stock Exchange showed signs Qf contraction to-day, but the undertone of the market was firm, with 'booths, Worts Dock and Woohvorths moving up. Barrier stocks were marked down. The general decline in butterfat production indicated by the Dominion herd testing statistics has not been experienced on the Weimnte West demonstration farm, Taranaki. Here the figures are better than those for any previous season during the 20 years in which the farm area has been operated. The butterfat total to the end of the past month was 14,792.31 b yielded from a herd average of slightly more than 70 cows. For the same period last year the total return was 13,477.81 b, showing an increase of 1314.51 b.
