U.S. JUDGE RETIRES.

WASHINGTON, Fob. 13. Judge Louis 1). Brandcis (Mass.) has retired from the Supreme Court. While he gave no reason, it is known he has teen suffering from ill-health recently and is rumoured to be contemplating aiding a world movement to help his distressed co-religionists. His ment will permit President Roosevelt to make another so-called Literal appointment, although since Judge Brandeis is from the same group the complexion of the Court will not be changed. , Judge Brandeis was born in 1856 and was appointed to the Supremo Court in 1916.
