MEN LOST £250,000.
IN PORT KEMBLA DISPUTE
SYDNEY, Jan. 23.
The steamer Dalfram, which figured largely in the Port Kembla dispute, which has been settled, arrived in Sydney to-dav for docking and cleaning consequent on two months’ idleness. She will return to Port Kembla. tomorrow to load pig-iron. It is estimated that the strike, which also involved more than 3000 steel works’ employees, cost the men £250,000. Three weeks must elapse before tho steel works will lie ill full operation and maximum production.
LICENSES WITHDRAWN. Received U^jl.a.m. As a result of the settlement of the Port Kembla pig-iron dispute a J<edoral proclamation has been issued withdrawing the application of licenses at Fort Kembla.
