PERSONAL.
Sergeant W. O’Donnell, formerly a member of the staff of the Palmerston North Police Force and now at Port Ahuriri, Napier, who has been visiting relatives and friends in this district, returned home this afternoon. His Honour Sir Hubert Ostler, who is resuming his judicial duties on the Bench after a year’s leave of absence owing to ill-health, will preside over the quarterly session of the Supreme Court which opens at Palmerston North on Wednesday, February 1. Several changes have taken place in the staff of the Palmerston North branch of the National Bank of New Zealand. Mr H. R. Watt has been transferred to Stratford, being succeeded by Mr M. J. Barrett, of Auckland, and Mr C. A. N. Broad has joined the staff of the Daunevirke branch, being replaced by Mr W. H. Reynolds, of Daunevirke. Mr Barrett has for soino years past boon a prominent memlier of tho Auckland committee for the combined banks’ ball.
