WIN FOR TARANAKI

Less than two days’ play enabled Taranaki to eliminate Rangitikei in the match at Hawera in the eliminating series for the Hawke Cup. In their first innings on Friday Rangitikei made 110. In reply Taranaki knocked up 238, and dismissed Rangitikei for 6S runs in their second innings on Saturday, going on to make 167 for the loss of seven wickets in their second innings, which they continued, after winning the match.
