CORNERS SET BACK.
KAIRANGA ROAD IMPROVEMENT.
Steps have been taken by the Kairanga County Council to improve the intersection of Rangitikei Line with the Kairanga-Bunnythorpe Road, and what has been a dangerous corner will soon be removed.
Some weeks ago. on the Palmerston North side of the intersection, the corners were set back It chains each way to give a curve of three chains radius. It is intended, within a month, to put in hand the formation and sealing of this, effecting a big improvement.
Land has been taken at the two corners on the northern side of the intersection for a similar purpose, but the work there will not be proceeded with yet.
