ITALIAN DEMANDS.
CLAIMS AGAINST FRANCE. PROJECTED STEPS. LONDON, Jan. 22. The Rome correspondent of the British United Press says that wellinformed circles are of the opinion that, immediately after the subjugation of Catalonia, Signor Mussolini, hacked by Herr Hitler, will demand satisfaction from France, which, under British advice, will capitulate in preference to fighting. Signor Mussolini s spearheads will he the Pyrenees, Libya, the FrancoItalian frontier, Djibouti and Sardinia. A crisis can be expected in March or April, adds the correspondent. The semi-official Rome newspaper llelazioni Internazionali declares that France’s failure to fulfil Italy’s demands will plunge Europe into a terrible war.
