PAPERS SEIZED.
INCIDENT AT SINGAPORE. JAPANESE QUESTIONED. SINGAPORE, Jan. 20. Special police cordoned and raided Japanese hotels, the Industrial Bureau, and the Chamber of Commerce here and seized documents which are at present being examined. Papers belonging to three Japanese employed by the South Manchuria Railway, who arrived recently following a tour ol Indo-China, Burma, and Siam, were also seized. All the papers were returned except one, the contents of which the police refuse to reveal. The Japanese were allowed to leave Singapore for Japan after questioning.
