RADIO EQUIPMENT.
STATIONS IN NEW ZEALAND,

Referring to radio equipment for trans-Tasman service, the Minister in Charge of Aviation (Hon. F. Jones) said to-day that the work in New Zealand was well forward and he expected to receive a report on the amount of material in hand early next week. If more were required, it would be secured. A fully-equipped station would be provided at Auckland, he said. He was not sure whether it -would eventually provide for both the trans-Tasman and Pan-American services.
Air Jones said the equipment would he useful for military purposes when the long-range bombers were delivered.
