RONGOTEA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) BONGOTEA, Jan. 23.
After several months of preliminary endeavour, the Rongotea School Householders’ and Old Pupi.s’ Association is meeting with considerably increased support. At the regular monthly meeting on Saturday evening there was a splendid attendance, which was presided over by Air AA'. A. Hurst. Apoolgies for absence were received from Mrs H. A r . Haverhill, and Messrs F. C. Saxton and J. Alossop. The first aim of (he association is to establish public swimming batlis in a central position, and it is hoped that funds raised locally will bo subsidised by (he Physical AV el fare League. The initial effort i»s to be a " den party, planned to be bold m March, and the following were appointed to lake charge of various stalls, and other duties: Produce stall, Airs F. I, McKay; sweets. Airs 11. V. C'avcrhdl: take club. Alls 1. Fraser;' afternoon tea, Alcsdames Af. Bower and Fox: grounds committee, Alcssrs Jessop and A. Simonson; competitions, Airs AV. A Churchill and Air Hurst: programme, Air Churchill; gates, Afr AV. Amey.
