TORRENTIAL RAINS.
GOLDFIELDS AREA INUNDATED,
Received January 21, 10.35 a.m. KALGOORLIE, Jan. 21. Further torrential rains have fallen over the northern goldfields. Kalgoorlio is now isolated by floods from all centres. Railway lines have been washed away and roads blocked. The Trans-Continental Express to the Eastern States is unable to leave, while the incoming express is held up at Karonie owing to eight wasliaways. . _ , A terrific cloudburst in the Lawler district has flooded the country. Lawler has received eighteen inches oi lam in the past week; its mean annual rainfall is seven inches.
