CITIZENS’ LUNCH CLUB.
At the initial meeting for the year of the Palmerston North Citizens’ Lunch Club yesterday the newly appointed president (Afr J. B. Fleck) was in the chair. Air AV. F. Green bank was appointed a member. An address entitled “Sartorial Efforts’’ was given by Air A. E. Wright, who contrasted the natural covering of man with that of animals. One pecular ease given as an instance concerned shrimps. Naturalists had found that when they trailferred shrimps from the vicinity of one colour to another the colour of the shrimps changed. During the space of one year every hair in a dog's body was shed and replaced by one from the same root, the speaker added. Air Fleck thanked the speaker for his address.
