FILLING A GAP.
At. the site of the recent big washout on the Otawhao Koad, Kumeroa, a i>i]>e culvert will take the place of the ohl wooden, culvert which was washed away in the flood. Large concrete pipes arc being laid on foundations also of concrete, and for the new formation a grader is being used as a scoop. The road level is being lowered five feet in order that filling may be utilised for the repair work.
