NAZI AGGRESSION.
RENEWAL IN NEAR FUTURE. LONDON. Dec. 16. “Everything points to an early resumption of Nazi aggression.” This was said by Mr Winston Churchill in a speech at Chingford (Essex). “No concerted resistance is being made against the aggressors,” lie declared. “After a year of disaster and humiliation, our troubles are not at an end. Britain and France must face the unpromising days ahead with weakened material and moral ' resources.
“On the morrow of the signing of the agreement between Britain and Italy, while the ing was scarcely dry on the signatures, new demands were put forward. The Prime Minister thinks it necessary to go to Rome to see what further appeasement is possible.
“Then, while fhe Mediterranean is being thrown into increasing disturbances, Hitler is on the verge of a further movement in the east of EuropeWe do not know whether he will take Memel or Danzig, whether he will stir up the Polish Ukrainians against Poland, or the Transylvanian population ag'rnst Rumania.” Mr Churchill urged a British foreign policy aiming at unity among all democratic forces throughout the world to resist aggression. Britain, Mr Churchill said, should proclaim a-resolve to clothe the League of Nations with greater powers and to furnish it with an armed force which would make its judgments respected. sKetaoin shrdlu etaoin etaoin etaoin
